WHAT IS BRAND IDENTITY?


A person’s identity gives that person a sense of purpose, direction and meaning, helping that person establish their identity in the world and distinguishing them from other people. That particular person will have personality traits, emotion, feeling, values and a view of how they want to be perceived in the world.

A brand identity is very simular, providing purpose, direction and meaning to a brand. A great brand should have a heart and soul that gives meaning to its customers and employees. Brand identity should help establish a relationship between the brand and the customer by showing a customer its emotional, functional or self-expressive benefits.

Creating a brand identity is more than finding out what customers want. It must also reflect the soul of and vision of the brand and like people a brand should tell a story, capturing its audience’s imagination and emotionally connecting with them.
